Careers at Lodders

Application Process

We want to find the best applicants, who will be able to match our expectations, so we have developed a thorough recruitment process. Following a first interview with our Human Resources manager and Trainee Manager, you may be called for a two-day second working interview. During this time, you will be asked to undertake a series of work-based exercises, complete a personality questionnaire and debate topical issues in small groups. We will observe your performance in those tasks and your interactions with other members of the firm. You will also attend a buffet lunch with the partners. We find candidates enjoy the experience and value the longer procedure for the opportunity it affords them to get to know the firm a little and, on their part, to demonstrate individual qualities and personalities. If you are successful, we will be in touch shortly after the completion of the selection process to offer you a training contract. The Deadline Applications should be made by 31 July in any year for training contracts commencing in September two years later. We will then shortlist candidates for interview. Following first interviews, a small number of applicants will go forward to the two-day selection process. Please email your CV and a covering letter to Mrs Caroline Gionis at caroline.gionis@lodders.co.uk. If you have any informal questions about training at Lodders, please e-mail trainee@lodders.co.uk to receive a response from one of our current trainees.

A View From The Inside...

The recruitment process, whilst seemingly intense and gruelling, is actually an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your true potential as a trainee and show off a variety of skills and attributes. Equally, it gives you the chance to get a real feel for the firm so that you are able to make a more informed and confident decision.
