Ruth Bartlett

Ruth joined Lodders in 1983 and is a Senior Associate and Head of our Private Client Dispute Resolution team. Having lectured in land law and as in-house solicitor in a major corporation she has collected a wealth of experience. She is passionate about helping clients to explore ways of avoiding litigation, with particular emphasis on mediation, believing that no matter is incapable of being mediated. She specialises in property, particularly Landlord and Tenant both commercial and residential, adverse possession, restrictive covenants, boundary disputes and enfranchisement. Ruth is a member of the Property Litigation Association.  She also advises on professional negligence associated with property disputes involving solicitors and surveyors. Ruth’s special interest is the area of constructive and resulting trusts and beneficial interests in property, which links with her other area of expertise: trust, probate inheritance and undue influence. She has been involved in noted inheritance and probate cases and is a full member of the prestigious Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). Ruth enjoys keeping fit and spending time relaxing with her family.
