A Practical Guide to Highway Issues in Property Transactions

Alastair Frew, partner in Lodders’ Real Estate department has written the recently published guide, which helps conveyancers navigate complex questions relating to highway law.

‘A Practical Guide to Highway Issues in Property Transactions’ explains in straightforward language what a highway is, how they come about, and whose job it is to look after them. It is a valuable tool for lawyers advising property investors and developers.

The book, which is available to purchase online, was published by Law Brief Publishing, a small company which focusses on niche law books and practical guides.

“The book explains a number of issues I’ve had to work out myself over the years,” says Alastair, “it answers a few specific questions, and is a hand holding guide for any conveyancing lawyer confronted with a highway issue, which will help navigate through the maze of legislation that is highway law.”
