Lodders is delighted to announce that Beverley Morris, head of our Family Law team, has been shortlisted by The Legal 500 UK Awards 2019 in the category of Private Client Individual (UK).
These prestigious awards are designed to honour and recognise the best in-house and private practice teams and individuals working within the legal sector, throughout the UK. The nominees are selected through comprehensive research into the legal market, and represent the very best in their fields.
This shortlisting follows Beverley’s recent recognition by Legal 500 as a leading individual in her chosen field of family law.
Beverley joined Lodders in July 2017 as a partner and head of the Family Law team, following the merger of her firm with Lodders. A specialist in all aspects of family law, Beverley works tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcome for her clients and is renowned for her “tenacity and work ethic”. Her focus predominantly lies in complex financial cases, often involving offshore assets and trusts, as well as having extensive experience advising on private law children matters, and experience in foreign jurisdictions, having issued proceedings in Jersey, Spain, Nigeria and New Jersey, USA.
In July 2018, Beverley had the prestige of representing Graham Mills in the highly publicised Supreme Court case of Mills v Mills. This case, in particular, continues to cause controversy in the correct approach to be adopted in respect of spousal maintenance awards; a topic that Beverley has written on extensively following the ruling.
This recent shortlisting continues to reflect Beverley’s tireless work and commitment to her private clients and family law, and we are thrilled that she continues to gain recognition for her contributions.
