Will it become easier to enforce Family Finance Orders?

Lodders’ partner and head of Family Law, Beverley Morris, explains the need for reform in the enforcement of Family Finance Orders.

It is not uncommon for lengthy litigation to result in a Court Order, in financial proceedings, that is not then subsequently complied with.  The enforcement methods are numerous and complex.

In 2016, the Law Commission published a report on the issue of enforcing financial Orders.

Now, some two years later, the Justice Minister, Lucy Frazer QC MP, has promised to support the need for reform of enforcement processes.

We await further news upon this.
