Dr Tarun Kuruvilla, will give insight into how dementia presents in individuals, which types of dementia affect which parts of the brain, and how to improve the quality of life for people diagnosed with dementia.

Sue Quinn from Grace Consulting will outline how to identify care needs for an elderly or vulnerable relative and the pros and cons of care options. She will also provide useful insights into how to deal with local authorities.

Sofia Tayton – Partner, Lodders Solicitors

Sofia is a partner in the Private Client department and an expert in advising clients on powers of attorney and  Court of Protection applications. She specialises in the preparation and registration of Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, the appointment of Deputies and management of financial affairs, care funding, and reclaiming care fees.

Dr Tarun Kuruvilla

Dr Tarun Kuruvilla, FRCPsych is a Consultant in old age psychiatry, and Clinical Director for Dementia Research at Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust. He is Division 4 co-lead for the National Institute of Health Research: West of England Comprehensive Research Network. He has a private practice at the Nuffield Hospital Cheltenham and Cobalt Health Memory Clinic Cheltenham. He has extensive experience of mental capacity assessments.

Sue Quinn – Care Advice Manager, Grace Consulting 

Sue heads up the Care Advice team at Grace Consulting, the UK’s leading private Independent Care Adviser. Sue has been providing client-based care advice for many years and has a wealth of knowledge on all care-related matters.
