Here at Lodders we are partial to some canine capers with man’s best friend, so we can’t wait for our annual Charity Dog Walk later this month!
The dog walk is a major event on the fundraising calendar for the Lodders Charitable Foundation (LCF), which was set-up specifically to support regional charities where a real difference can be made; something that reflects Lodders’ longstanding commitment to the community.
This year, the LCF dog walk takes place on Sunday 22nd July. We hope to see lots of dogs and their humans join us for what is a great, fun family day out.
Join in the fun
Pre-registration is advisable – simply visit www.lodderscf.eventbrite.com to let us know you will be there.
Entry costs £5 per adult and £1 per dog (to include a rosette keepsake), payable on the day, and everyone who pre-registers and brings their ticket to the event will receive a free doggy goody bag, packed full of treats from our kind sponsors.
There will be lots of fun and games happening on the day, including children’s entertainment, plenty of stalls, and a selection of food and drinks available to purchase – or bring a picnic and kick back and enjoy the countryside with your pooch.
The event is at Whitley, Edge Lane, Henley in Arden, and the four mile walk begins between 10am and 12 noon.
All funds raised at the event will be donated to The Shakespeare’s Puppies Appeal – one of three charities supported by LCF.
The Shakespeare’s Puppies Appeal supports the national charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and aims to fund the training and progression of guide dog puppies, each of which is named after a Shakespeare character.
For more information about the event and the charities involved, see: Lodders Charitable Foundation or contact Angela Howard, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you and your dogs on the 22nd July. Don’t worry if you don’t have a dog, as everyone is welcome, and there’ll be plenty of friendly pooches to enjoy!
