Lodders presented with coveted ‘Highly Commended’ award at Moreton Show

The Lodders stand at this year’s Moreton Show was given the accolade of ‘Highly Commended’ stand, marking our third consecutive year of recognition by the show’s organisers and judges.

This year’s event on Saturday 1 September proved to be our most successful yet, with a record number of clients and guests welcomed to our stand, where they were treated to an array of delicious refreshments and respite from the busy showground.

Following two years of outstanding recognition, Lodders’ stand was one of only three stands, out of fifty, to be recognised with a certificate this year. Once again, the stand was commended by the event’s organisers and judges for its ‘engaging interaction with visitors to the show’ as well as the children’s play area, its competition and the distinctive design, including the centrepiece of a beautifully maintained vintage Massey Ferguson tractor.

Lodders’ Competition

For this year’s competition, guests posed for Polaroid photos that were pinned on our ‘family gallery’ board, with the firm favourite photo location being the Massey Ferguson. The winners of the competition will soon be told of their win and receive either an Instax Polaroid camera, a family hamper or a family ticket to Batsford Arboretum.

On the stand

Sharing our stand with us this year were representatives from the Farming Community Network (FCN), a remarkable charity supporting farmers and their families through difficult times. The FCN is one of the Lodders Charitable Foundation‘s dedicated charities.

Also on our stand was Adam’s Gelato, a family run company based in Stroud, who proffered their delectable homemade gelato to our visitors. Adam, of Adam’s Gelato, was inspired as a child by a family trip to Florence and has been hand making his own gelato ever since. As a close family friend, Lodders’ partner, Alastair Frew, has committed himself to helping to promote the young entrepreneur, including encouraging Adam to speak at the Cheltenham Business Forum, attended by local MP Alex Chalk, where he discussed the need for reform in apprenticeships for individuals with disabilities. His delicious gelato was exceedingly popular at the show and served as the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful, warm September sunshine.

We also welcomed the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust onto our stand, providing information and brochures on the vital research they conduct to enhance the British countryside for the benefit of the public.

Guests were welcomed to our stand by Lodders’ newly launched Rural Sector, a team of legal specialists dedicated to the agricultural and countryside sector. With Lodders’ top ranking agricultural sector practice at its heart, the rural sector team has more than 20 lawyers, including ten of Lodders’ partners and its ‘rural ambassadors’ David Lodder and Rod Bird, who has been personally involved in the Moreton Show for more than 30 years, during which time he has been both its Chairman and President of the Show Society. Alongside the Rural Sector team were representatives from Lodders’ Real EstateResidential PropertyDispute Resolution, Corporate & CommercialPrivate Client and Family law teams.
