Learning and Development Manager
I am Lodders’ learning and development manager, responsible for co-ordinating the full cycle of training and further development activities from identification of requirements to completion for all employees. I also support our new starters through their onboarding and induction process, along with overseeing our trainees.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
I particularly enjoy seeing the progression of people when they get to attain either new positions or a change in team as a result of the development that they’ve worked towards.
Have you always worked in the legal sector? If not, what did you do before?
I originally worked for almost 10 years within the legal sector at a firm specialising in criminal law, then moving over to a focus on training with a role as a training co-ordinator within a large automotive company where I was for 6 years. I now have the opportunity to combine the two areas with this current role.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
With two young children, I am reliably awoken nice and early each morning! Within my role, a big motivation for me is the opportunity to develop processes and the support I can offer to the different areas.
