I am a solicitor in the Private Client team, advising clients on all aspects within that field including wills, probate & estate administration, trusts, tax, powers of attorney and applications involving the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection. I work with all sorts of private individuals from new homeowners or young families just starting out, to experienced and sophisticated business owners, to people enjoying their retirement in later life and elderly, vulnerable people. I have a particular interest in assisting elderly and vulnerable clients, advising on matters relating to care and capacity issues.

Outside of work, my interests include yoga, baking and wine. I also love exploring the great outdoors, good food and spending time with friends & family.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

Helping people by problem-solving and lifting the burden of their worries.

When did you start at Lodders? Any interesting past employers?

I joined Lodders in October 2017. Prior to that, I worked for Willans LLP in Cheltenham, Harrison Clark Rickerbys in Worcester and MFG Solicitors in Halesowen, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove. I qualified as a solicitor in May 2014 and have over 5 years of experience in probate matters.

Have you always worked in the legal sector? If not, what did you do before?

I completed my LPC in 2009 and started at MFG solicitors in January 2010. I have had a number of part-time jobs including waitressing, bar work, sales assistant at HSamuels and catering assistant at West Midlands Safari Park. My first job was “Saturday assistant” at Bewdley Library.

Are you involved with, or a trustee, of any charities?

No – although I am interested in becoming a Trustee of Lodders Charitable Foundation.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

A cup of tea.

Any interesting personal achievements?

I ran the Bristol Half Marathon in 2016, raising over £750 for Bloodwise.
