Lodders’ commercial property specialist and partner, Alastair Frew, provided legal advice to A&H Developments on the acquisition of a £3.9million warehouse development known as Crescent Trade Park in Redditch’s Moons Moat district, a former car park, in March 2017, paving the way for the construction of the new 24,000 sq. ft. commercial and industrial warehouse project.
Alastair previously provided legal advice to A&H Construction and Developments Ltd, a major privately-owned construction company based in Halesowen, on a number of commercial property schemes, and acted for David MacMullen of MacMullen Associates Limited, the development managers for the Redditch project, for almost two decades. Following Alastair’s legal advice on the acquisition and development of the land, he has now been retained by A&H to provide advice and documents for the letting of the Crescent Trade Park warehouse’s eleven units, which has already included acting on the letting of two units to Greggs and Subway respectively, and also the sale of the first of the industrial units. Nine units from 1,500 to 6.000 sq ft remain available, and Lodders’ Real Estate Law team will be acting on these also.
Agents Bromwich Hardy and KWB are marketing the £3.9million scheme.
Commenting on the development, Alastair Frew said: “This commercial and industrial development on Crescent Trade Park is a major scheme for Redditch and Worcestershire. Development of the site wasn’t without its challenges – for example a small stream had to be redirected before construction work could commence – but the result is a prestigious, high quality, new build scheme in a prime location for the local business and commercial community where the developers are able to offer leases – and sales for businesses who want to buy their own property.
“I am proud to continue my working relationship with David and A&H Construction and Developments, and working alongside the agents, look forward to reaching a speedy and satisfying conclusion when all the units are occupied.”
