We are currently looking for a corporate solicitor to join our Stratford upon Avon and Birmingham offices.

The Corporate Solicitor/Associate will provide support to our growing corporate team (of 3 corporate partners and 4 associates and solicitors) in advising clients on corporate M&A and reorganisation work. This role involves handling a variety of corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, implementing structurings and reorganisations and general corporate advice.

This role will be based in Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon.

Key tasks/responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents related to a variety of business transactions.
  • Regular client interaction and involvement in business development activities.
  • Perform due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Draft shareholders’ agreements and document reorganisations and EMI arrangements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various corporate legal issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in corporate law and new regulatory initiatives and ensure the corporation is in compliance.

Knowledge, education, and experience required:

  • 2 – 5 years PQE
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Excellent customer service skills, good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of attention to detail and a systematic approach to working with the ability to manage and balance a number of demands at any one time.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent weekly training is organised by the team as well as having a culture and discipline of “on the job” feedback to develop our fee earners to the be the best lawyers they can be.
