We are seeking a confident and experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to manage high-value, challenging cases. You will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients involved in business disputes, guiding them from initial consultation through to resolution. Where: You will be based between our Stratford upon Avon and Birmingham offices.
What you will be doing
- Taking ownership of a varied caseload including contract disputes, shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims.
- Advising clients clearly on legal strategies, risks, and likely outcomes to help them make informed decisions.
- Representing clients in court and alternative dispute resolution forums, preparing comprehensive case materials and advocating confidently on their behalf.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Conducting detailed research on relevant laws and precedents to inform case strategy.
- Maintaining strong client relationships through transparent communication, regular updates, and a responsive service ethos.
- Keeping abreast of legal developments to ensure advice remains current, commercially sound, and effective.
- Contributing to business development by identifying client needs, supporting networking efforts, and participating in firm growth initiatives.
Knowledge, education, and experience required
- Qualified solicitor with a UK law degree and professional qualifications (e.g., SQE).
- 5–7+ years’ post-qualification experience in commercial litigation with a proven track record managing complex cases.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and confident communication, negotiation, and advocacy abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A resilient, client-focused, ethical, and commercially minded approach to legal practice.
