We are currently looking for a commercial litigation solicitor to join our Stratford upon Avon and Birmingham offices.
To handle and lead complex commercial legal cases, giving expert advice and representation to clients involved in business disputes. This role involves protecting clients’ interests through every step of the legal process, from initial consultation to case resolution, while upholding high standards of legal practice.
Key tasks & responsibilities
- Manage a range of commercial legal cases, such as contract disputes, shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims.
- Advise clients on legal strategies, potential risks, and likely outcomes, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Represent clients in court and alternative dispute resolution settings, preparing all case materials and advocating on their behalf.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and settlement agreements, ensuring they meet all legal standards.
- Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and case precedents to guide strategy and decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing updates and fostering trust throughout the process.
- Stay updated on commercial law changes to ensure the highest standards in all legal practices.
- Contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying client needs, engaging in networking activities, and building client relationships.
Knowledge, education, and experience required
- Qualified solicitor with a law degree and the necessary professional qualifications (e.g., Solicitors Qualifying Examination in the UK).
- At least 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation, with a successful track record of managing complex cases.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, dispute resolution, and current legal developments in commercial litigation.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Clear communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
