Trainee solicitor vacancies: September 2025

We currently have opportunities for four trainee solicitors working across the Lodders offices and client teams. 

Starting on Monday 8 September 2025, the training contract is a mix of qualifying work experience across four different seats, one of which will be in litigation. Alongside this, you will study for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) parts 1 and 2 through the University of Law. The SQE is the centralised assessment for anyone who wants to qualify as a solicitor in England, and your qualification will be fully funded by Lodders. 

The roles are office-based role to maximise your support and supervision.

What are we looking for in our trainee solicitors?

• Highly motivated, organised individuals who are eager to learn and have a passion for a career in the legal sector.
• Strong academics, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree – this might be in law but is not essential. 
• You might also have some interesting work and life experience to bring to Lodders.
• Willingness to travel and work across our offices in Stratford, Birmingham and Cheltenham.

We will be running an assessment and selection day at our office in Stratford upon Avon on 2 April 2025; you will need to be available on this date. If you are successful in reaching the assessment day, you will take part in a group activity, interviews and a drafting exercise.
