I am a Paralegal in Lodders’ Private Client team. I primarily assist other members of the team with drafting wills, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates. I joined Lodders in July 2013 as an Office Junior in the Private Client team which involved supporting the secretarial team with admin tasks. Prior to that, I completed A Levels in Business Studies, Politics and Food Technology. In July 2014, I began working as a secretary in addition to my Office Junior role and a year later, I became a full-time secretary. In July 2016, alongside my secretarial duties, I began assisting fee earners with drafting, probate work and attending client meetings. I have now progressed into a full-time Paralegal role which has enabled me to concentrate on assisting the team with will drafting, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
I enjoy meeting new clients and I also enjoy being given the opportunity to carry out a variety of work whilst I’m training as it means that I am constantly learning and gaining experience.
Are you a member of any societies, committees or organisations either at work or externally?
I produced a series of bitesize training videos as part of the implementation of EDM (Electronic Document Management) across the firm.
Any interesting qualifications?

I have since completed a Legal Research unit and I am continuing with my studies by sitting further exams. I am currently working towards completing the Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice.
