Independent mediation services – property disputes and contentious probate
Jane Senior, Lodders’ Head of Dispute Resolution, is an accredited independent mediator and works with law firms and other professionals to assist with the effective and speedy resolution of disputes.
Jane has 30 years’ experience in property dispute resolution and is recognised by other professionals and the legal directories as an expert in her field.
Her particular areas of specialism include neighbour disputes including boundary issues, commercial landlord and tenant, agricultural related disputes, easements such as rights of way and rights of light, restrictive covenants, party wall matters, overage and co-ownership issues. She also regularly advises on contentious probate matters. She has worked with FTSE 100 clients, owner managed businesses as well as partnerships and private individuals including those in the rural sector.

Jane’s approach to mediation is commercial and pragmatic. She is quick to establish a rapport with the parties and their advisors. She listens carefully and applies her expertise, energy and practical approach to assist the parties in reaching a workable solution to their dispute.

Professional background, qualifications, and accreditations
Jane qualified as a solicitor in 1988 after reading Law at Manchester University. She worked at Alsop Wilkinson in Manchester for 10 years, followed by Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa. She joined Lodders in 2015, where she has grown the Dispute Resolution team to a team of 11 partners and solicitors.
Jane is a member of the Property Litigation Association and provides CPD training for RICS and other course providers.
