Lodders win Stratford 10k corporate team title

The Stratford 10k was backed by Lodders for the 13th consecutive year and featured the event’s first ever half marathon

A 23-strong team of runners from Lodders took to the streets of Stratford on Sunday 3 September, racing to the finish line to take home the Stratford 10k’s Corporate Team Shield for the second year in a row.

The event, organised by local running events team Tempo Events, was backed by Lodders for the 13th consecutive year and featured the annual 10k as well as the event’s first ever half marathon.

Lodders’ 10k runners: Jane Senior, Ian Yarde, Mike Wakeling, Chris Dewes, Petros Fountoukidis, Kimberley Brookes, Louisa Beacon, Lucia Gallato, Katie Hurst, Sophie Dunn, Maria Fitzgerald, James Leighfield, Simon Perkin, Martyn Kinder, Hannah Carey, Lewis Fuller, Elizabeth Graver, Jane Wakeling, and Stuart Macleod, each finished the race faster than any other corporate team entered, earning them the corporate prize.

Running the half marathon from Lodders was Isaac O’Sullivan – who placed 37th – Kyran Shuker, Daniel Macleod, and Maggie Macleod.

Around 1150 runners took part this year, with the routes for both races showcasing everything that Stratford has to offer, with the finish line going past the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.

Speaking about the event, partner in Lodders’ Real Estate team Steven Baker, said: “We were delighted to continue our support for the Stratford 10k as its principal sponsor, particularly in the year marking the launch of the event’s first ever half marathon route. Events like these play an important role in bringing the Stratford community together and despite the hot weather, we thoroughly enjoyed hitting the pavements to raise important charity funds.”

The Time Out Group returned as the race’s charity partner this year. Based in South Warwickshire, the charity aims to provide specialist support to children with disabilities and their families, helping them to access family activities.

Names and finish times of all race runners are available on Tempo Events website here.
