Our runners win Stratford 10k Corporate Team title

Lodders’ fast-paced, 12-strong team of runners crossed the finish line of the 2022 Stratford 10k in record time, winning them the event’s highly coveted Corporate Team Shield.

Daniel Payne, Dan Macleod, Maria Fitzgerald, Anna Turnell, Mike Poole, Jane Senior, Petros Fountoukidis, Simon Perkins, John Padget, Jon Wood, Pip Lassester and Hilary Campton each finished the race in a time faster than any other corporate team entered, meaning Lodders’ team was the first to complete the race, earning them the Corporate prize.

The race on Sunday 4 September was the 13th Stratford 10k, and the 12th consecutive year that Lodders has sponsored the event – and the 12th run by the firm’s Maria Fitzgerald.

747 runners took part this year, and set off from Stratford’s Shipston Road adjacent to the Recreation Ground, running past many of Stratford’s famous landmarks, including the RSC Theatre, and crossing the finish line at the bandstand in the Recreation Park, where they were cheered on by hundreds of spectators and supporters.

Honoured

Speaking at the event, Steven Baker, partner in Lodders’ Real Estate team and seven-time Stratford 10k runner, said: “The Stratford 10k is an important fixture on Stratford’s annual events calendar. This has been another great event, and the firm is honoured to have taken a lead role as principal sponsor of every race since 2010.”

Race organisers Tempo Events selected The Time Out Group Stratford upon Avon as the event’s charity partner again this year. Based in South Warwickshire the charity aims to provide specialist support to children with disabilities and their families, helping them to access numerous family opportunities.
