Short bio:
I am a trainee solicitor in the Private Client team.
I joined Lodders in February 2023 and work alongside the lawyers in the team on matters such as trust administration, Trust Registration Service (TRS) portal matters, trust creation and deeds of appointment and deeds of change of trustee together with helping clients to put in place wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and attending to the administration of an estate when someone has passed away.
I regularly sit in on meetings with clients and take detailed notes to include action points. I learn new things every day, which gives me the opportunity to build upon my existing experience and knowledge. My favourite aspect of my role is the clients that I get to work with.
After graduating from university in 2019, my first job was in a tax and trust corporation, which is where my passion for private client services stemmed from.
Outside of work, I am involved with a charity that was set up by my family to continuously raise funds for a school that we have built back home. The Azad Choudhury Academy is a school situated in northeast Bangladesh and is an independent school that provides education for 10 villages who otherwise would not be able to gain any education at all. I have also taught there when I have visited.
I am based in Stratford upon Avon and Birmingham
