Short bio:
I am a Legal Director in the Private Client team and lead the Tax and Trusts team.
I joined Lodders in March 2022, bringing 20 years’ of trusts and tax experience from senior roles in legal and accountancy firms.
I specialise in trust administration, tax, and accounts, working with a variety of individuals from high net worth clients to small family trusts, who need assistance regarding their finances and tax affairs.
My experience includes administering the trusts set up from landed estates and other family trusts and preparing estate accounts and dealing with the pre-death and administration tax on estates. I advise on the capital gains tax and IHT implications of transfers out of the trusts and prepare the necessary tax forms. I prepare personal tax returns for beneficiaries of trusts and have also assisted solicitors in the tax affairs of estates and estate account production together with trust accounts.
I also have expertise in the Trust Registration Service procedures and assist trustees with ensuring that their trusts are registered with HMRC.
