James Spreckley

Short bio:

I am head of the Agricultural and Landed Estate team, helping clients from the rural sector with all sorts of legal matters, often linked to land in some way.  Most of my clients are involved in agriculture, whether as farming families, rural businesses or estates; and as well as dealing with property matters, I am often involved in their succession planning and partnership arrangements.

Part of my role is to help clients access the wider range of legal services that Lodders provides to clients from this sector from other parts of the firm, such as strategic land development or tenancy disputes.

I joined  Lodders in 2015, working from our offices in both Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham. I am often to be found out visiting clients on farm, which I enjoy, having family farming in west Wales and having always enjoyed rural pursuits. As well being a member of the CLA and the Agricultural Law Association, I sit on the committees of a number of rural charities and societies.
