Lodders retains top spot in Chambers UK Legal Guide

The Chambers and Partners Guide ranks UK individual lawyers and law firms based on their expertise and client feedback

Seventeen of Lodders’ specialists across family, agriculture, private client, real estate, and charity law have been named as amongst the best in the UK by the legal profession’s elite guide to the country’s leading lawyers.

The Chambers and Partners Guide ranks UK individual lawyers and law firms based on their expertise and client feedback. The 2024 edition sees partners Beverley Morris, head of Lodders’ Family Law team, and James Spreckley, head of its Agricultural practice, retain the highest Band 1 position for lawyers in their individual area of the law.

In addition, the Chambers’ High Net Worth Guide 2023 sees Louise Igoe, partner and head of the firm’s Private Client team, retain a Band 1 ranking and Martin Green retain his status in the Senior Statespeople category.

The latest edition of Chambers names Nicola Beach, senior associate in Lodders’ Agriculture team, as ‘Associate to Watch.’ In the Property Dispute Resolution team, associate Lauren Hutchinson is recognised as an ‘Associate to Watch,’ whilst senior associate Daniel MacLeod in the Real Estate team receives the ‘Star Associate’ accolade.

Family lawyer Justin Creed is recognised for his work in Coventry and the surrounding area with a Band 1 ranking. Family lawyers Caroline Dresden and Vivienne Middleton are also recognised by the 2024 guide, along with property dispute resolution specialists and Lodders partners Jane Senior and Victoria Khandker, charity law expert and partner Mark Lewis, environmental specialist and partner Lee McBride, consultant in the Private Client and Landed Estates teams Ian Flavell, and partner and head of Lodders’ Real Estate team Mark Miller. David Lodder also retains his recognition in the Senior Statespeople category.

Commenting on the rankings, Lodders’ managing partner Paul Mourton says: “We are pleased to retain our Band 1 rankings across Family, Agricultural, and Private Client teams and for a number of our lawyers to be recognised by the guide as amongst the country’s leading lawyers. The 2024 rankings reflect our unwavering commitment to maintaining a consistent flight to quality and excellence.

“The Chambers UK Legal Guide is widely respected for its integrity, independence, and impartiality in researching and identifying the very best lawyers in their respective fields. The widespread recognition of so many members of our team once again speaks to the firm’s exceptional talent, dedication to client service, and the quality of advice provided across the board by our lawyers, day in and day out.”

Earlier this month, several of Lodders’ specialist teams also retained the tier 1 spot in the Legal 500, which analyses the capabilities of law firms and assesses and ranks their strengths, including its Real Estate, Family, Agriculture, and Private Client teams.
