Our Residential Property Dispute team invite you to their latest seminar where they will be looking at the implications of the Renters Reform Bill which will abolish assured shorthold tenancies and any sort of fixed term tenancy.

In particular, the team will be discussing: 

  • The difference between an assured tenancy and an assured shorthold tenancy
  • Notice options for an assured tenancy  – including new grounds for possession
  • Provisions for increasing rent for an assured tenancy
  • Transitional provisions (for ASTs already in place when the Bill becomes law)
  • Other proposed changes to legislation that managing/letting agents need to be aware of

Whilst we cannot be absolutely certain what will be in the new legislation until it becomes law, we now have a pretty good idea. Anyone managing residential property will find this review helpful.
