As long-term supporters of the PCA Futures Awards, we keep a keen eye on the finalists and love seeing their ongoing development away from the cricket field.
In 2024, the standout winner was Marie Kelly, with her Versatail product – a women-focused headwear brand. The Versatail brand specialises in caps and hats designed for active women, featuring Magni-Strip® technology, a magnetic opening that allows easy adjustment for different ponytail heights and styles, from low buns to high ponytails.
Marie specifically needed advice on how to secure intellectual property rights to enable her to develop the brand. Lodders’ Stuart Price worked with Marie to register her trade mark in the relevant categories, with an eye on the brand’s future growth.
