There is exactly one week until the Midlands Residential Property Breakfast, where Lodders’ partner and head of environmental law, Lee McBride will be a panellist.
The residential property breakfast event is an excellent opportunity to hear from the panellists about the potential that converting brownfield sites into residential sites can really have on the current and ongoing housing crisis in the UK, and how investors can make sure they are successful.
Hosted by Insider Media on 24 May, the discussion will dive deep to understand the opportunities and challenges involved in turning derelict sites into sustainable residential projects, as well as the panellists highlighting the importance of strong placemaking, design and public-private partnerships.
Lodders’ Lee McBride will outline key considerations when deciding whether a brownfield site’s conversion to residential is viable, including location, cost of remediation and legacy issues, such as exposure to hazardous materials or flooding.
Joining Lee on the panel will be Paul Smith, technical director of Barratt Homes; David Atkinson, regional development manager at Willmott Dixon; Jason Constable, head of real estate, UK corporate banking at Barclays and Marcus Hawley, managing director of Cordia Blackswan.
The event begins at 9am at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Birmingham and you can join in-person or online. To find out more and to get your (free) tickets click here.
