Lodders supports Betel UK with pro bono advice

Lodders has provided pro bono legal support to international charity Betel UK, advising on real estate matters relating to the development of a new purpose-built family accommodation scheme at its facility in New Arley, Coventry.

Betel UK is a charity dedicated to helping men, women and families affected by social exclusion, including drug and substance misuse, homelessness and long-term unemployment. Through residential recovery programmes, peer support, life skills training and work opportunities, Betel provides a structured, family-style environment that helps individuals achieve lasting recovery and regain independence. The organisation supports thousands of people through its network of communities and recovery centres across the UK and internationally.

Its accommodation scheme is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for families in the later stages of recovery from substance dependence, helping them prepare for fully independent living.

The Coventry project represents an important investment in long-term recovery, recognising the crucial role that stable housing and family support play in helping people rebuild their lives. The new accommodation has been carefully designed to provide a secure and welcoming space where residents can focus on their recovery journey, while maintaining and strengthening family relationships.
